Subscription, Billing & Refund Policy
Last updated · ClipGem is operated by FounderGem LLC.
This policy explains how paid plans, credits, renewals, cancellations, and refunds work on ClipGem. It's part of our Terms of Service. Prices and limits are shown on our pricing page and in the app, which control if there's any conflict.
1. Plans and free tier
ClipGem offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Each plan includes monthly allowances — such as workspaces, AI generations, and scheduled posts — described at signup and on the pricing page. The free tier is offered as-is and may change or end at any time.
2. How credits and allowances work
- Monthly allowances (for example, AI generations and scheduled posts) reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over unless we say otherwise.
- Credits and allowances are a license to use the Service. They have no cash value, aren't currency or property, and can't be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash.
- A generation is counted when the request is made, including outputs you choose not to keep. We don't deduct credits for failures caused by us.
3. Billing and renewals
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for each renewal until you cancel.
- Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price for the same term unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Taxes may apply and will be added where required. You're responsible for any applicable taxes other than taxes on our income.
- If a charge fails, we may retry and may suspend or downgrade paid features until payment succeeds.
4. Upgrades and downgrades
- Upgrades take effect immediately. We may charge a prorated amount for the remainder of the current cycle, and your new allowances apply right away.
- Downgradestake effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Lower allowances and limits apply from the next cycle, and content that exceeds the new plan's limits may become read-only.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel anytime from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then your workspace moves to the free tier. Cancelling doesn't automatically delete your account or content — close your account separately if that's what you want.
6. Refunds
- Payments are generally non-refundable, and we don't provide refunds or credits for partial periods, unused allowances, or downgrades, except as required by law or as expressly stated here.
- If you believe you were charged in error or experienced a significant problem caused by us, contact support@clipgem.app within 14 days of the charge and we'll review it in good faith. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method.
- Where local consumer law gives you a right to a refund or cooling-off period, that right applies and isn't affected by this policy.
7. Price changes
We may change our prices or what's included in a plan. If a change affects your active subscription, we'll give you reasonable advance notice, and the new price applies at your next renewal. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
8. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we can usually sort it out faster than a dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of your account while we investigate.
